Default 521 reflectors

might anyone be able to explain why i have the reflectors on side but absolutely no evidence of them on the other side? im pretty positive it doesnt have anything to with someone shaving them........ i think the only "custom" work that might have been done to it was a botched motor swap details on that if i ever get a build thread goin

I had a 70 521 That had gas tank doors on both sides of the bed. When I stripped it for paint the right side showed evidence of having been re-skinned.

It's a 37 year old truck. There is a good chance it might not be stock.

someone could have drilled the holes on one side and got lazy and never did the other side.

i have a early 521 reflector fender on my 71 521 that i cut out a rectangle for the side marker light.

When you ordered replacement fenders through the dealer a few years after the initial supply of replacement parts was exhausted, what you got was a "universal" replacement undrilled or punched for the various year side lights or emblems. Someone years ago replaced a fender and was too lazy to cut and mount for the sidelights.

This is most likely the case. many times i have bought repop parts that are in virgin form. usually called "generic" panels
